About a third of all food (1,300 million tonnes) goes to waste. Some food scraps are unavoidable during cooking, but a significant portion still end up in the waste. This has not only social consequences, but also negative effects on the environment due to landfilling or wasted coal and energy, which was primarily used to produce food waste.
CE4Food is an Erasmus + funded project that aims to develop training materials and tools to help VET professionals working with students and SMEs in the food management and hospitality sectors.
