Around one third of all food (1,300 million tonnes) ends up as waste, and while some food waste is inevitable in its preparation, a still significant amount ends up as waste.

This not only has social consequences but also environmental impacts either through its disposal to landfill, or through the wasted carbon and energy that went into producing the food waste in the first instance.

The CE4Food is an Erasmus+ funded project which aspires to design training materials and tools to support VET professionals in the food management and hospitality sectors engaging with students and SMEs.  Read more about
